We are seeking a Sheet Metal Technician to join our Engineering Team in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the position holder will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and modification of helicopter structural components and structures in a Base Maintenance, Line, and Workshop environment.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: (minimum education requirements, key skills, and experience)
Qualifications:
Formal qualification in aviation sheet metal work – City and Guilds or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience in carrying out sheet metal repairs on rotary or fixed-wing aircraft.
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and produce work within specified tolerances.
Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
Willingness to work rotating shift patterns.
Excellent team worker with good work and safety ethics.
Motivated to deliver high standards of work.
