Job summary

GA Telesis, a global aviation solutions provider, seeks a skilled Sheet Metal Technician for our Ft. Lauderdale MRO composite facility. This full-time role focuses on aircraft composite repairs and reports to the Director of Production, MRO.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a minimum of 3 years in aviation component repairs, basic computer skills, and the ability to read and write English. Must be able to lift 70 pounds and work to FAA and customer-maintained manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disassembly, and repair of flight controls, structures, stabilizers, nacelles, exhaust, and other aircraft parts.
• Repair, modify, replace, or overhaul aircraft parts to ensure airworthiness.
• Perform work within estimated or budgeted hours.
• Know the proper use of heat control units.
• Know various types of aircraft sealant and appropriate method application for sealant, as well as aircraft fasteners and basic methods of installation and suitable substitutions.
• Fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of metal and alloys and where substitutes may be used.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Sheet Metal Technician

Within the Composite Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul unit at GA Telesis, we are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Technician to join our team at our MRO Composite facility in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This is a full-time position that will focus on aircraft composite repairs. Reporting to the Director of Production, MRO the ideal candidate will use their full knowledge and experience to complete all tasks in quality standards of the Company, FAA, and our customers' approved maintenance manual.
