Job summary

GA Telesis in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking experienced aircraft component repair technicians to maintain and repair flight controls, structures, and other parts. The role requires a high school diploma and at least three years in aviation component repairs.

You will perform work within allocated hours, use heat control units, understand sealants and fasteners, and may fabricate parts with knowledge of metal alloys.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of aviation component repair experience.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disassembly, and repair of flight controls, structures, stabilizers, nacelles, exhaust, and other aircraft parts.
• Repair, modify, replace, or overhaul aircraft parts to ensure airworthiness.
• Perform work within estimated or budgeted hours.
• Know the proper use of heat control units.
• Know various types of aircraft sealant and application methods for sealant, as well as aircraft fasteners and basic installation methods.
• Fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of metal and alloys and substitutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, technical or trade school certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in aviation component repairs.
• Basic computer skills required such as Microsoft Suite.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
