Job summary

GA Telesis is seeking a 2nd Shift Sheet Metal Technician for our MRO Composite facility in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This full-time role focuses on aircraft composite repairs and reports to the Director of Production, using extensive knowledge to meet quality standards compliant with FAA and customer procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in aviation component repairs, can read and interpret maintenance manuals, and is capable of lifting up to 70 pounds. This position requires U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, technical or trade school certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in aviation component repairs.
• Basic computer skills required such as Microsoft Suite.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disassembly, and repair of flight controls, structures, stabilizers, nacelles, exhaust, and other aircraft parts.
• Repair, modify, replace, or overhaul aircraft parts to ensure airworthiness.
• Perform work within estimated or budgeted hours.
• Know the proper use of heat control units.
• Know various types of aircraft sealant and appropriate method application for sealant, as well as aircraft fasteners and basic methods of installation and suitable substitutions.
• Fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of metal and alloys and where substitutes may be used.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Within the Composite Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul unit at GA Telesis, we are seeking experienced 2nd Shift Sheet Metal Technicianto join our team at our MRO Composite facility in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This is a full-time position that will focus on aircraft composite repairs. Reporting to the Director of Production, the ideal candidate will use their full knowledge and experience to complete all tasks in quality standards of the Company, FAA, and our customers' approved maintenance manual.
