Job summary

GA Telesis is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Composite Technician to join our MRO Composite team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The role focuses on aircraft composite repairs and reports to the Director of Production to complete tasks to FAA and customer manuals.

Candidate must have at least 2 years of aviation component repair experience and a high school diploma, with preferred technical certifications. Strong English reading/writing is required and basic computer skills are needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in aviation component repairs.
• High school diploma required; technical or trade school certifications preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Must read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disassembly, and repair of flight controls, structures, stabilizers, nacelles, exhaust, and other aircraft parts.
• Repair, modify, replace, or overhaul aircraft parts to ensure airworthiness.
• Perform work within estimated or budgeted hours.
• Know the proper use of heat control units.
• Know various types of aircraft sealant and appropriate method application for sealant as well as aircraft fasteners and basic methods of installation and suitable substitutions.
• Fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of metal and alloys and where substitutes may be used.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Composite Technician to join our MRO Composite team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a full-time position focused on aircraft composite repairs. Reporting to the Director of Production, the ideal candidate will use their full knowledge and experience to complete all tasks in quality standards of the Company, FAA, and our customers' approved maintenance manual.
