Job summary

API of NH/Delta T is seeking a Sheet Metal Supervisor to oversee fabrication, assembly, and installation of ductwork for HVAC and plumbing systems. This leadership role directs shop and field teams, manages materials and schedules, and drives safety and quality compliance across projects.

You will read and interpret drawings, supervise apprentices, maintain records, and collaborate with project managers to meet timelines and budgets. Travel to job sites will be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years sheet metal fabrication and installation experience.
• 2+ years supervisory or lead experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Sheet Metal Journeyman with a valid certificate.
• Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing ductwork, codes and safety practices.
• Ability to read mechanical, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sheet metal workers in shop and field.
• Plan and monitor workloads to ensure timely duct fabrication and installation.
• Read blueprints and drawings to verify requirements.
• Ensure compliance with codes, specs and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and other trades for workflow.
• Monitor inventory and order materials as needed.
• Inspect ongoing work for safety and quality.
• Maintain labor and material records for reporting and billing.
• Promote a safety-first culture and supervise PPE usage.
• Train apprentices and mentor team members.
• Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Communicate status and needs to management.
• Perform additional duties as required.
