Job summary

H&G Systems is seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic to fabricate and install commercial HVAC duct systems at client sites in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will work with seasoned field leaders on large, year‑round projects across healthcare, manufacturing, and industrial facilities.

The role emphasizes safety, quality craftsmanship, and career growth into lead/foreman roles. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of commercial or industrial sheet metal experience.
• Experience fabricating and installing HVAC ductwork systems.
• Working knowledge of SMACNA standards and industry best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, rooftops, and in mechanical rooms.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install commercial HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems.
• Layout, measure, cut, fit, and assemble sheet metal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications.
• Install ductwork according to project requirements and SMACNA standards.

• Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Follow all company safety policies and jobsite requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Assist with project completion while meeting quality and productivity goals.

What You'll Do

As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you'll play a key role in fabricating and installing commercial HVAC duct systems while working alongside experienced field leaders and project teams.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, rooftops, and in mechanical rooms
• Strong work ethic and commitment to craftsmanship
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

• Experience on commercial construction projects
• Experience operating sheet metal fabrication equipment
• OSHA training or safety certifications
• Strong leadership potential and desire for career growth
• Ability to mentor apprentices and less experienced mechanics
