Job summary

ABH Manufacturing is seeking a Sheet Metal Production Lead to coordinate daily activities across CNC, architectural pulls, and welding. You will assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure on-time customer order fulfillment while fostering safety and teamwork.

You will mentor staff, promote lean manufacturing, and work with the Sheet Metal Supervisor to hit production goals. This role requires strong leadership and knowledge of sheet metal processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing or sheet metal environment.
• 1–2 years leading, coordinating, or mentoring employees preferred.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes and equipment.
• Experience supporting production scheduling and workflow coordination.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Able to train employees and promote safe practices.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities within assigned departments (CNC, architectural pulls, welding).
• Assign daily work based on priorities and staffing levels.
• Monitor progress to meet customer orders on schedule.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and adherence to standards.
• Support the Sheet Metal Supervisor in achieving goals.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members on processes, equipment, and safety.
• Cross-train employees to improve coverage.
• Provide daily guidance and feedback for employee development.
• Enforce safety policies and maintain organized work areas.
• Promote 5S and lean practices; identify productivity improvements.
• Resolve production bottlenecks and support scheduling.
• Ensure documentation and work instructions are followed.
