Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent English required.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing or sheet metal production experience.
• Leadership, production coordination, or mentoring preferred.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and equipment.
• Experience supporting production scheduling and workflow coordination.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train employees and promote safe work practices.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain it; ERP/manufacturing software experience a plus.
• Lean Manufacturing, 5S or Continuous Improvement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily sheet metal production activities.
• Assign daily tasks based on production priorities and staffing needs.
• Monitor production progress to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Lead, train, coach, and support production employees.
• Cross-train team members on equipment, processes, and safety procedures.
• Monitor workflow and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
• Assist with production planning and scheduling.
• Coordinate materials, tooling, and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with production documentation and work instructions.
• Support quality standards and resolve production or quality issues.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement.
• Enforce safety policies and SOPs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and production-ready work areas.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, inventory, and management.
• Support Sheet Metal Supervisor in meeting departmental goals.
