Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and Assembly: measure, cut, bend and shape sheet metal to create HVAC components.
• Installation: fit and align fabricated ductwork and industrial systems.
• Repair and Maintenance: inspect and repair damaged sheet metal parts to meet safety standards.
• Blueprint Interpretation: read technical drawings and work orders for project requirements.
• Joining Techniques: weld, solder, rivet, bolt or braze components.
• Quality Control: inspect work, test duct airflow, ensure specs and safety compliance.
• Documentation and Communication: keep records and coordinate with supervisors and engineers.

Job description

• Fabrication and Assembly: Measure, mark, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery such as shears, press brakes, and rollers to create components for HVAC systems.
• Installation: Install fabricated sheet metal components, including ductwork and industrial systems, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
• Repair and Maintenance: Inspect, repair, or replace damaged sheet metal parts, while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine project requirements, dimensions, and materials.
• Joining Techniques: Use welding, soldering, riveting, bolting, or brazing to assemble and secure sheet metal components.
• Quality Control: Inspect work for accuracy, test systems (e.g., duct airflow), and ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
• Documentation and Communication: Maintain records of work performed, report equipment issues, and coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and team members.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
