Job Description

The Commercial Sheet Metal Installer is tasked with fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components essential for commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, and related structures. This role demands precision, strict adherence to safety standards, and the capability to work on-site across various commercial settings.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.
• Assemble and join sheet metal parts using rivets, screws, welds, or other fastening methods.
• Install ductwork, ventilation systems, and other sheet metal components according to blueprints and specifications.
• Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and insulation for efficient airflow and system performance.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and job specifications to determine material requirements and installation procedures.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Follow OSHA and company safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with project managers, HVAC technicians, and other trades to ensure timely and accurate installation.
• Diagnose and correct issues with installed sheet metal systems as needed.

Essential Skills
