Job summary

D.J. Wagner, based in Princeton, NJ, is looking for a dedicated Sheet Metal Mechanic to join their growing team. You will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing sheet metal products, including ducts and control boxes.

• Commercial sheet metal installation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal products and equipment.
• Understand hanging materials and apply them appropriately.
• Order ductwork with foreman's approval.
• Interpret blueprints for duct placement.
• Teach apprentices while working with them.
• Understand pressure classes and airflow efficiencies.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings.
• Understand the different type of hanging materials and when they apply.
• Ability to order ductwork as needed with the approval of the foreman.
• Interpret blue prints to decide where ducts will go.
• Able to teach apprentices while working with them.
• Ability to understand different pressure classes and airflow efficiencies.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 5 years’ experience with installation and/or fabrication of duct systems.
• Commercial sheet metal installation experience required.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Capable of following direction given by the foreman and complete that task without further assistance.
