Job summary
SPX Technologies in Madison, Alabama, is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to lead sheet metal fabrication processes on a new campus facility. You will drive world-class manufacturing practices focusing on laser punching, CNC press brakes, and automated panel bending to deliver safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.
You will collaborate with operators, maintenance, quality, and engineering to startup and scale operations, develop standard work, PFMEAs, and KPIs, and support
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
- Experience with CNC laser punching, combination punch/laser equipment, or fiber laser cutting systems.
- Ability to create work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and manufacturing documentation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead sheet metal fabrication process development and optimization.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and standard work.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for production equipment and processes.
- Improve safety, quality, productivity, throughput, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with operators, technicians, maintenance personnel, and engineers on startup and growth of the campus.
