Job summary

Flex in Des Moines, Iowa is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support high-mix, low-volume metal fabrication. You will review drawings, develop 2D/3D CAD models, and implement processes that improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you’ll work with cross-functional teams to create efficient manufacturing solutions, apply Lean methods, and ensure ISO quality standards are met while maintaining a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0–3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and CAM programming.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications for manufacturability.
• Develop 2D/3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Support sheet metal fabrication processes and CAM programming.
• Implement Lean processes and continuous improvement.
