Job summary

Vigor Marine Group in Seattle seeks a skilled sheet metal worker to perform duct work fabrication, installation, and related duties in a dynamic shipyard setting.

You will read blueprints, measure and cut to spec, weld (stick and mig), and install duct work, galley equipment, and ceiling panels while prioritizing safety and quality. A high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of shipyard experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and spoken English required.
• Experience with duct work fabrication and welding processes.
• Shipyard experience and ability to work at height.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates duct work on and off the ship.
• Installs duct work, galley equipment and ceiling panels.
• Performs basic welding (stick and mig) and uses blueprints.
• Reads measurements, layouts and assembles sheet metal projects.
