Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Southwest is seeking a highly experienced Sheet Metal General Foreman to lead multiple commercial plumbing projects. You will supervise crews, read blueprints, and ensure safety and quality on site, reporting to the Plumbing Superintendent.

The role requires strong leadership, coordinating across project teams, and driving efficient project execution within tight schedules, while maintaining OSHA standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of commercial/industrial plumbing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience overseeing multiple projects for a large-scale contractor.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and plumbing diagrams.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED; technical training or certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Sheet Metal crews across multiple job sites.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure proper installation of plumbing systems.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain workflow.
• Schedule manpower, tools, and materials to meet project deadlines.
• Conduct regular job site inspections to ensure work meets or exceeds quality standards.
• Mentor and train apprentices and journeyman plumbers.
• Report progress, delays, and field issues directly to the Plumbing Superintendent.
• Oversee and enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards on job sites.
• Assist with project planning, layout, and execution of plumbing scope.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
