Job summary

Miller Electric Mfg. LLC is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate turrets, punches, presses, lasers, shears and related equipment in a team environment.

You will read blueprints, use measuring tools, and cross-train across the Mechanical Components area, with overtime potential and lifting up to 50 lbs. Candidates should be able to work well in a fast-paced shop, maintain quality through regular production inspections, and demonstrate strong communication and safety awareness.

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Good eyesight and hand dexterity.
  • Willingness to cross-train.
  • 1 year of mechanics and electronics experience.
  • Ability to comprehend assembly drawings and bills of material.
  • Ability to follow set-up directions and understand product specifications.
  • Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Overtime will be required.

Job Description

Set up and run turrets, punching machines, presses, press brakes, lasers, shears, spot welder, pemnutter or any other equipment within your department. Must be able to work and communicate effectively in a team environment, be a team player and willing to cross‑train in all areas of the department on a regular basis. Must be willing to work overtime (10‑12 hrs.) when needed. Regular inspection of production is necessary to ensure quality. Must also be willing to cross‑train within other areas of Mechanical Components.
