Sheet Metal Fabricator

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Fabricator for a company located in Sterling, VA. The primary responsibilities include setting up and operating special purpose machines and machining centers to fabricate metal parts.

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Responsibilities

1. Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components using various hand tools and machinery.
2. Assemble metal components into finished products or structures, ensuring precise alignment and secure fittings.
3. Perform quality checks to ensure fabricated components meet design specifications and industry standards.
4. Operate equipment such as shears, brakes, and welders to produce and modify sheet metal parts.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Prior metal fabrication experience preferred.
2. Basic math skills for measurement and calculations.
3. Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
4. Reliable and punctual attendance.
5. Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen, including THC.

Job Type

Full-time, temporary-to-permanent.
