Oakdale Precision, Inc. is seeking a Sheet Metal / Fabrication Technician responsible for performing machining tasks, including drilling and installing hardware, to prepare parts for shipment. The role demands meticulous attention to detail as you ensure all products meet company and customer expectations prior to delivery.
As part of the job, you will handle and move parts, read work orders, and work with tools and equipment crucial for the fabrication process.
The Sheet Metal / Fabrication Technician does light machining, drilling, tapping, countersinking, installs hardware using PEM Setter, deburs, grinds, a variety of metal or plastic parts in preparation for the next stage of operation and/or for shipment to the customer. The Sheet Metal / Fabrication Technician stages work by due dates; reads work orders and blueprints; handles/moves parts, materials, hardware, tools and equipment; and ensures that completed work meets required specifications. This work requires a high degree of attention to detail and precision, as the Sheet Metal / Fabrication Technician is responsible for ensuring that parts meet company/customer expectations prior to them being shipped to customers and/or coating facilities.
