Accelera Staffing seeks a Metal Machining Specialist to precision-drill and finish steel components to exact specs. You will interpret drawings, set up drill presses, and ensure parts meet quality standards on the shop floor.

You will use micrometers, calipers, and gauges, coordinate with teams, perform basic maintenance, and uphold safety procedures to maintain production flow in our Wisconsin plant.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on precision.
• Solid math skills including fractions and decimals for tolerances.
• Commitment to safety protocols and PPE usage.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret complex technical drawings and work orders to execute precise hole patterns, including reaming, tapping, and counterboring.
• Configure and operate radial arm and upright drill presses, optimizing speeds and feeds for various steel materials.
• Perform accurate layout and marking of workpieces to ensure alignment with project blueprints.
• Secure materials using specialized jigs and fixtures to maintain strict tolerance control.
• Conduct rigorous quality inspections using precision tools like micrometers and calipers to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Manage material handling tasks safely using overhead cranes and hoists to maintain a steady production flow.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling to ensure consistent operational performance.
• Collaborate with shop floor teams to prioritize tasks and resolve material or scheduling challenges.

• Commitment to workplace safety, including familiarity with PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.

Preferred Skills

• 1-2 years of experience in a metal fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Prior certification or experience operating overhead cranes and industrial forklifts.
• Technical knowledge of drill bit geometry, tap selection, and coolant application.
