Job summary
Atlantic Constructors Inc. is seeking a Sheet Metal Equipment Operator to support fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of ductwork and equipment.
You will work with blueprints and orders, operating plasma cutting tables and various shop tools to produce high-quality sheet metal components. You will be responsible for selecting materials, following safety protocols, and assisting in installations.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years' sheet metal experience in construction/industrial environment
- Coil line plasma cutting experience
- Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of trade related hand tools
- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
- Must be available to report to multiple job sites with variable schedules
Responsibilities
- Fabricates, assembles, alters, and repairs sheet metal products and equipment per blueprints and orders
- Operates sheet metal equipment including plasma cutting tables, shears, brakes, rollers and punches
- Selects gauges or types of sheet metal per product specs
- Maintains safety standards and keeps work area clean
- Loads/unloads materials from trucks and assists in lifting and positioning
- Performs subassemblies and hangs as directed by mechanic
- Contributes to overall workmanship and quality control
