Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a motivated Special Projects Sheet Metal Mechanic to fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal components such as plenums, fire dampers, and diffusers. Projects range from small commercial upfits to moderate new construction, with compensation determined by experience.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, installing ductwork, inspecting parts, and maintaining tools on varied job sites. Must be able to travel to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sheet metal mechanic field or equivalent training and experience
• Familiarity with duct mate, spiral, slide and drive ductwork
• Ability to multi-task, follow instructions, and demonstrate problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble sheet metal products using brakes, shears, drills, and presses
• Read and understand blueprints, drawings and specifications
• Set out a line of Commercial Duct and hang it with assistance
• Inspect fabricated parts to ensure quality and precision
• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and machines
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently
• Perform tasks requiring physical stamina, lifting up to 50 lbs
