We are seeking an experienced Experimental Sheet Metal Mechanic to fabricate, assemble, modify, and develop complex sheet metal components, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies supporting turbine engine manufacturing and engineering operations.

Responsibilities
- Lay out and fabricate parts, assemblies, and subassemblies from blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions
- Work with exotic sheet metals, copper, brass, tubing, bar and round stock, and other specialized materials
- Set up and operate CNC press brakes, waterjet, laser, shears, rolls, tube-forming equipment, mills, drills, and other fabrication equipment
- Perform forming, bending, trimming, rolling, welding, brazing, and related fabrication processes
- Support Engineering, Manufacturing, Tool & Die, Maintenance, Engine Build, and Test Cell operations
- Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures for complex manufacturing and welding requirements
- Maintain critical dimensions and tolerances while working with difficult configurations
- Apply advanced shop mathematics and trigonometry for layouts, bend deductions, angles, radii, and fabrication calculations
- Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and develop practical solutions for complex parts and assemblies
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 5+ years of sheet metal experience
- Strong hands-on fabrication and assembly skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances
Required Skills
- 8+ years of sheet metal experience
- Experience with waterjet, laser, and/or Amada Press Brake setup and programming
- Experience with welding, brazing, machining, heat treating, and EDM
- Familiarity with FPI, X-Ray, CT Scan, or other NDT processes
- CAD/CAM experience
- Experience with CREO or Pro/E
- Strong shop mathematics and trigonometry skills
- Experience working in aerospace, turbine engine, or other precision manufacturing environments
