Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our client’s growing team in Long Beach, CA. The role focuses on fabricating precision parts, reading blueprints, and operating press brakes and fiber laser cutters.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience, proficiency reading technical drawings, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Experience with fiberglass finishing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience operating press brakes (preferred).
• Experience operating fiber laser cutting machines (preferred).
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and materials.
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape, calipers, squares).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality work.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to fabricate parts accurately.
• Set up and operate press brakes to bend and form sheet metal to specification.
• Operate fiber laser cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform basic machine setup, tooling changes, and routine maintenance.
• Measure materials and finished products using precision measuring tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to meet project deadlines.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
