Job summary

Crenlo in Rochester, MN is seeking a cell‑based manufacturing operator to oversee workflow, assist operators with setups, and produce sheet metal parts per prints and BOMs. You will train new employees, set up and operate large presses, lasers and related equipment, and maintain process quality under SPC controls.

The role emphasizes safety, cost control, and continuous improvement, with strong reading and interpretation of prints and basic computer use. On‑site work with standard PPE required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; reading and interpreting manufacturing prints required.
• Must complete forklift and aerial lift training and maintain certifications.
• Proficiency with BAAN and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and/or train new employees on equipment as directed by supervisor.
• Complete daily standard work as instructed by supervisor.
• Assign work for the Department in the supervisor's absence.
• Set up and operate equipment including Large Press Brake, Turret Press, Laser, Sweep Form and Pem Serter.
• Operate in a cellular environment and pursue continuous improvement of quality, safety, delivery and cost.
• Maintain daily control of process using SPC; report labor and job data accurately.
