Job summary

Gordon Incorporated in Louisiana is seeking a CAM Programmer to generate CAD/CAM programs for sheet metal manufacturing. The role requires familiarity with architectural and engineering drawings and proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD; RADAN, Vault, and turret press experience are a plus.

You will collaborate with production staff, engineers, and contractors, develop drawings and templates, and help set drafting standards while improving programming efficiency.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with architectural and engineering drawings.
• Experience with 3D modeling software is required.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor / Product Design Suite is a plus.
• Experience with RADAN CAM software for sheet metal punching is a plus.
• Experience with Autodesk Vault is a plus.
• Experience with Turret Press Operations is a plus.
• Program sheet metal parts to be run on Amada & Trump turret presses.
• Create CAD/CAM programs for turret punch/press machines using Inventor and/or AutoCAD DWG/DXF files.
• Handle CAM Department inquiries.
• Review project packets for completeness.
• Prepare Art, Die, Fabrication, and Submittal drawings.
• Prepare full size paper templates for manufacturing and customer use.
• Develop and maintain Engineering Drafting Standards.
• Develop and recommend solutions to improve programming time and run time.
• Must have strong Attention to Detail skills.
• Be able to effectively communicate with Production Staff, Engineers, Sales Staff, Architects, and Installing Contractors.
