Job summary

I&M Machine and Fabrication Corp. in Missouri is seeking an experienced Programmer / Drafter to turn customer drawings into production-ready parts and machine programs for our metal fabrication operations.

You will read blueprints, create and modify CAD drawings, develop machine programs, and work with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and accuracy. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and customer requirements.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and drafting principles.
• Ability to learn manufacturing software and apply machining knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Review orders and drawings to determine job requirements.
• Create/modify drawings and flat-pattern layouts using CAD/CAM.
• Develop machine programs based on part specs and production needs.
• Collaborate with customers and engineers to clarify drawings.
• Reverse engineer parts when drawings are unavailable.
• Maintain accurate drawings and related documentation.
