Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with sheet metal manufacturing and design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist/develop/create machine programs based on CAD drawings.
• Maintain working knowledge of Forgent Power Solutions laser, press brakes, etc. and programming software to aid product improvement.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with shop employees to promote feedback to drive product improvement.
• Projects a positive, professional image of the company in all communications with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Make recommendations to management on manufacturing processes to promote lean manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate records of programs, processes, and changes to ensure compliance.
• Provide input on manufacturability and process improvements for new and existing products.
• Balance programming decisions to support smooth job flow through the laser department.
• Support production with the creation of fixtures.
