SC Johnson is hiring an Associate Manager for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) in Racine, WI. You will plan, design, and oversee safety programs, lead improvement initiatives, and manage SHE staff and contractors to uphold compliance and a safe work environment.

The role emphasizes incident management, data analysis, and risk assessment, with collaboration across Operations and Maintenance to achieve safety targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years in safety, health, and environmental roles in manufacturing with leadership responsibility.
• Proven project management experience to prioritize and drive multiple projects to completion.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visible safety leader on the manufacturing floor and engage with employees and leaders.
• Lead injury reduction through hazard identification, risk mitigation, and corrective actions accountability.
• Coach leaders to foster safety ownership at all organizational levels.
• Conduct floor walks, safety observations, and field engagements to identify risks.
• Oversee incident investigations, identify root causes, and ensure sustainable corrective actions.
