Position Background
We are hiring an entry-level SharePoint Content Specialist to support one of our healthcare clients in improving how information is organized, published, and consumed across the enterprise. In this role, you will enhance SharePoint environments, content governance practices, and enterprise communication workflows.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in making meaningful operational improvements through content structure, usability, and system optimization. You will play a key role in cleaning up and standardizing SharePoint sites, improving naming conventions, and ensuring content is accessible and user-friendly across the organization. You will also gain exposure to broader business architecture, governance processes, and enterprise‑level initiatives, with opportunities to grow into more strategic responsibilities over time.
This role is part of Brooksource’s Elevate Program, which is intended for early‑in‑career individuals looking to grow and learn both technically and professionally. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, IT, or related field, or 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Basic experience with SharePoint (site navigation, document libraries, list management, or content updates) or similar web/content management platform.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience creating or supporting PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and content structuring skills.
- Ability to manage and consolidate information across multiple sources.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Self‑starter with a willingness to learn, adapt, and figure things out independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to business process documentation or modeling tools (e.g., Signavio)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other enterprise platforms is a plus
- Interest in or exposure to UX, front‑end or web development (e.g., JSON formatting)
- Familiarity with business architecture concepts or enterprise‑level thinking
- Interest or experience using Microsoft Copilot or AI tools
What You’ll Do
SharePoint Content & Site Management
- Build and maintain SharePoint libraries, lists, and pages to support business needs
- Organize content using structured views, naming conventions, and metadata
- Consolidate content from multiple sources (Teams channels, shared files, documents) into SharePoint
- Improve site navigation, layout, and overall user experience
Content Governance & Organization
- Establish and maintain content standards, naming conventions, and formatting consistency
- Ensure content accuracy, ownership, and accountability across published materials
- Support efforts to clean up and streamline existing SharePoint environments
- Contribute to long‑term efforts to consolidate multiple sites into a centralized experience
- Create and update presentations and materials using PowerPoint and Microsoft 365 tools
- Improve how users interact with and navigate content across platforms
- Support development of intuitive communication and feedback channels
- Assist with preparation for architecture review and governance processes
- Help organize documentation and materials for review boards and pre‑board activities
- Support tracking of metrics, KPIs, and adoption indicators
- Contribute to initiatives related to business capability understanding and maturity
- Explore opportunities to leverage AI tools (Copilot) to improve workflows and documentation
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to content processes
- Continuously enhance organization, usability, and accessibility of information
