Job summary

Nashville Public Radio seeks an Internal Communications & Digital Engagement Advisor – Specialist 1 to manage SharePoint resources and deliver clear internal communications. The role partners with ASA(FM&C) leadership to translate priorities into accessible workforce content and storytelling.

The ideal candidate will coordinate with program offices, SMEs, and leaders, ensuring timely updates, compelling messaging, and adherence to federal standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or suitable equivalent in management, accounting, economics, finance, or related discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree; 8+ years with a bachelor’s; 12+ years with no degree.
• Hands-on SharePoint design, administration, governance, accessibility, and UX best practices.
• Experience handling project communications, planning, writing, newsletters, announcements, and calendars.
• Federal/organizational communications experience and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent writing and editing; ability to translate technical info into clear workforce communications.
• Strong collaboration with government leaders, program offices, subject matter experts, and content owners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365; creating graphics/digital content preferred.
• Active Secret security clearance is required.
• On-site work at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, administer, maintain, and improve SharePoint sites and pages.
• Lead and execute all project communications tasks including planning, drafting, editing, publishing, and tracking.
• Develop, write, edit, and coordinate weekly and monthly newsletters and articles.
• Manage recurring SharePoint content updates with content owners and SMEs.
• Identify and communicate organizational accomplishments and milestones.
• Develop graphics and digital content supporting workforce engagement and events.
• Plan and support internal communication campaigns and workforce events.
• Maintain an integrated communications calendar for campaigns and updates.
• Review communications for accuracy, tone, accessibility, and DoD standards.
• Recommend opportunities to strengthen internal communications and SharePoint UX.
