Job summary

Virginia Physicians For Women is seeking an Internal Communications & Learning Specialist to manage SharePoint, intranet content, and employee learning materials. You will produce training videos and educational resources, ensuring accurate information and engaging materials for onboarding and ongoing development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, IT, Instructional Design, or related field preferred but not required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in internal communications, learning and development, instructional design, SharePoint administration, or related experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing training materials, instructional content, or educational resources.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar content development software.
  • Experience creating digital learning materials, training videos, presentations, and visual communications.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with pristine attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across multifunctional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as administrator for the organization's SharePoint intranet, monitoring content for consistency, usability, branding, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve SharePoint sites, pages, document libraries, and departmental resource centers.
  • Publish internal announcements, policies, procedures, forms, trainings, newsletters, and other organizational updates.
  • Organize and maintain digital content libraries and document repositories, ensuring content is current, accurate versions, and easy to navigate.
  • Create and edit engaging training videos and other instructional materials that support onboarding, employee development, and ongoing departmental education.
  • Develop instructional videos, quick reference guides, tip sheets, job aids, e-learning modules, and user manuals.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Clinical, IT and HR department leadership with identifying employee training initiatives and technology adoption.
  • Develop and maintain digital PDF documents for EMR system (ModMed) to support clinical and patient workflows.
  • Troubleshoot SharePoint and document-related issues and escalate more complex issues to third-party IT solutions partner, as needed.
  • Stay informed on Microsoft 365 and digital communication best practices.
