Assurant is seeking a Shared Services Specialist to support the printing, balancing, reconciliation, and quality review of hazard, claims, and loss draft checks. This role ensures the accuracy of check production files, maintains records, and prepares reports following established procedures and controls.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, basic computer knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of processing experience.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Print hazard, claims, and loss draft checks for clients.
• Review and validate check production files.
• Balance and reconcile daily check files.
• Verify check totals, sequence numbers, and payment information.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to check printing, balancing, or reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of printed checks and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and client requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments to meet production deadlines.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports.
• Assist with quality control reviews of printed documents.
• Support audit requests with documentation and reporting information.
• Handle confidential customer and financial information securely.

About The Role

We are seeking a Shared Services Specialist to support the printing, balancing, reconciliation, and quality review of hazard, claims, and loss draft checks. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of check production files, maintaining records, preparing reports, and following established procedures and controls.

The ideal candidate has good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Candidates should have basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, as well as good oral and written communication skills and professional etiquette.

• Print hazard, claims, and loss draft checks for various clients according to established schedules and procedures.
• Review and validate check production files prior to processing.
• Balance and reconcile daily check files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Verify check totals, sequence numbers, and payment information before release.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to check printing, balancing, or reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of printed checks and associated documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, security procedures, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve processing issues and meet production deadlines.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports as required.
• Assist with quality control reviews to ensure accuracy of printed documents.
• Support audit requests by providing documentation and reporting information.
• Handle confidential customer and financial information in a secure manner.

Shared Services Specialist would be responsible for the primary duties listed above along with their specific duties by function.

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm EST.
