Job summary

Mosaic is seeking Home Providers in Iowa to open their home and support an individual with intellectual disabilities. You will live with the person full-time, helping with daily living skills, community involvement, and personal growth within your household.

The position offers an average annual income around $80,000 (federally tax-free) plus monthly rent and household expenses contribution, with training and team support provided. Remote work aspects apply as part of the support model.

Qualifications

• You must be 18 years or older.
• You must reside in Iowa and own/rent your home.
• Home must be wheelchair accessible in Des Moines metro area.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
• Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living support such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and decision making.
• Assist with medication administration and medical appointments.
• Help the individual build connections and participate in the community.
• Provide transportation and support with daily activities as needed.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with Mosaic support team.
• Support independence and personal goals within the home environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• You must be a current resident of the state of Iowa (due to state funding restrictions).
• Own/Rent your own home, apartment, condo, or townhouse
• Active homeowner’s or renter’s insurance
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance
• Internet access and basic computer skills
• Ability to complete required screenings, background checks, and training
• Experience is preferred but not required.
