Job summary

Jobtailor in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Site SH&E Leader to drive safety, health, and environmental programs across operations. You will lead the SH&E culture, develop KPIs, and ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory requirements while partnering with Engineering, Operations, HR, and Quality teams.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, incident investigation, and training to build capabilities and sustainable change across the site. Strong leadership and communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or SH&E-related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in SH&E roles.
• Last position held as a Site SH&E leader and/or division, regional, or corporate safety and environmental experience.
• Professional SH&E certifications are beneficial, including CIH, NEBOSH, CSP, or CEM
• Experience in World Class industry for SH&E.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, LEAN, and TPM concepts.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, self-initiative, verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to drive sustainable organizational change and build strong cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop site SH&E culture and programs.
• Participate on the Site Leadership Team.
• Coach and develop supervision as SH&E leaders.
• Develop SH&E priorities, KPIs, and actions.
• Align SH&E plans with corporate strategies.
• Maintain audit-ready compliance with policies/regulations.
• Create and implement SH&E systems and change programs.
• Lead risk assessment and mitigation processes.
• Investigate incidents and implement recurrence-prevention actions.
• Manage injury case processes and talent development in SH&E.
