Job summary

Essity Professional Hygiene North America is hiring a Safety Manager for our Middletown, Ohio location. You will lead the site-wide safety culture, set goals with the SLT, and drive risk reduction through programs and investigations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Occupational Safety (or related field) and 5+ years of safety management experience, with strong communication, computer, and training skills and knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or relevant program.
• 5+ years safety management experience.
• Ability to develop and implement safety programs.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
• Ability to motivate employees to work safely.
• Strong computer and training skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers compensation law.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide safety culture change and implement Essity I Care Journey Steps.
• Establish safety goals, objectives and implementation plans with the site leadership team.
• Develop and update safety policies, procedures, and training modules.
• Coordinate safety training, record-keeping, and communications site-wide.
• Manage safety audits, investigations, and data entry in the company databases.
• Coordinate contractor safety management and risk assessments.
