Job summary

Aurora Sewing Center in Victor, NY, is seeking a Retail Sales Associate who is friendly, customer-oriented, and self-motivated to help customers find the right sewing solutions. You will learn and sell high-end sewing machines and related products, with hands-on training provided.

The role is hourly and may include commission, with standard business hours and a friendly, team-oriented environment. Training is provided to build product knowledge and customer service skills.

Retail Sales Associate Position

We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate who is friendly, customer-oriented, personable, self-motivated, and who has interest and/or sewing experience. This is a person who also has an interest in learning and selling high-end home sewing machines and other sewing, embroidery, and quilting products and services we offer.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with excellent customer service and a friendly disposition.
• Learn, describe and successfully demonstrate the use and operation of sewing, quilting and embroidery machines, supplies and other products and services offered.
• Process all services/classes/customer transactions accurately and efficiently in the POS.
• Prepare and maintain merchandise displays for purchase, demonstration and use.
• Other duties as assigned.

Training:

Provided (hands-on, online).

Business Hours:

Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 6 pm, and Saturday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Compensation:

This position is paid hourly based on experience, with additional potential for commission earned upon completing training(s).
