Position Summary

The Sewing Machine Operator will operate sewing machines (Juki-Overlock, Juki-Single Needle, Merrow, Sonobond) and other equipment to join materials into finished products in preparation for folding or final packaging. Candidates will participate in a sewing assessment during the facility tour to evaluate proficiency with sewing Tyvek material and comfort working in a cleanroom environment for 8 to 10 hours.

What You'll Do As a Sewing Machine Operator

• Receive materials and sewing instructions from the supervisor or value stream manager.
• Verify the integrity and quality of materials.
• Operate sewing equipment to assemble materials into components and finished products.
• Package completed products for further processing.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and follow SOPs to preserve the cleanroom environment.
• Join applicable union and adhere to work rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Effective communication and comprehension skills
• Ability to operate and maintain machinery
• Ability to work independently under supervision
• Adaptability to changing duties and deadlines
• Previous production experience

Preferred:

• Sewing machine experience
• Ability to read work orders or instructions in English
