Job description

Join to apply for the Industrial Sewing Machine Operator role at Gratz Pilates.

We are looking for an experienced sewer to join our growing second shift team and contribute to the completion of our quality products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fabric Preparation
   • Measure, cut, and prepare fabrics based on project specifications
   • Work with a variety of upholstery materials, including vinyl, and canvas
   • Ensure precise alignment and pattern matching during fabric preparation
2. Sewing and Assembly
   • Operate industrial sewing machines to create high-quality seams for equipment components like mats, pillows, and cushions
   • Assemble fabric components for upholstery projects
   • Incorporate piping, and other fasteners into designs
3. Customization
   • Create and sew custom fabric components, such as intricate patterns and unique designs
   • Adjust sewing techniques to suit different materials and textures
4. Maintenance and Quality Control
   • Inspect completed projects for durability, accuracy, and client satisfaction
   • Perform necessary repairs and adjustments to achieve high-quality results
   • Provide input on fabric selection and sewing methods to enhance project outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial sewing machines and upholstery equipment
• High school level education or vocational training

Working Conditions

• The role may require sitting for extended periods and working with various machines and tools.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as needed and must be worn as required.
