Sewing Machine Operator

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

General Description

This position is responsible for sewing products on flatbed and circular knitting machines.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Surge the trim in colored thread and insert labels on all socks.
2. Cut and sew compressogrip sleeves, shrinkers, humerals, ulnars, fractures.
3. Apply bone rings and fold to compressogrip.
4. Tack torsos.
5. Presew socks prior to processing.
6. Cast pants and cast socks.
7. Cut and sew knee sleeves.
8. Scan work orders into the system.
9. Perform quality control inspections.
10. Provide general janitorial work throughout the manufacturing area.
11. Cut splits in pelvic socks.
12. Hems Sterling products.
13. Follow priorities and work order due dates when completing tasks.
14. Participate actively in department quality meetings and Lean initiatives.
15. Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred.
