Job summary

Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Service is seeking an Excavation Technician to perform residential and commercial excavations for sewer and water service repairs or replacements. You will operate back-hoe, mini-excavator, and skid steers, ensuring safety and efficiency on every job.

The role requires hands-on excavation experience, a valid driver’s license (CDL may be required for certain vehicles), and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential and commercial excavation projects.
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be required depending on vehicle.
• Current CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.
• Trenchless water/sewer/gas experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety by following OSHA and company protocols.
• Interact with customers as needed.
• Perform excavations and follow with pipe repairs or installations.
• Operate back-hoe, mini-excavator, skid steers, or other equipment.
• Work in confined spaces and open trenches.
• Locates and arrives at job sites on time; drive between sites.
