Job summary

Roto-Rooter is seeking an Excavation Technician to perform residential and commercial sewer and water service excavations. The role focuses on safe, efficient excavations and subsequent pipe work to resolve plumbing issues.

The ideal candidate has hands-on excavation experience, a valid driver’s license (CDL when required), and the ability to work in confined spaces or trenches. Night and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on excavation experience in residential and commercial construction.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required for the vehicle driven.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate confined spaces and trench operations.
• Ability to complete jobs within specified timelines.
• Current CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days if required.
• Trenchless water, sewer & gas experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety by following OSHA and company protocols.
• Interact with customers as needed.
• Perform excavation tasks and subsequent pipe repairs or installations.
• Operate back-hoe, mini-excavator, skid steers, and other excavation machinery.
• Work in confined spaces and open trenches.
• Locate and arrive at job sites promptly; drive company vehicle between sites.
