Zusammenfassung

Hamilton County WWTA seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to operate and maintain a range of heavy vehicles and equipment used in wastewater collection and treatment. You will inspect service connections, monitor plant operations, and assist in maintenance of grinders, STEP and STEG systems, and mainlines.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL at application time, with a Tanker Endorsement to be obtained within six months.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience driving multi-axle trucks, vacuum/jetter trucks, or operating heavy equipment.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL at time of application.
• Tank endorsement must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Defensive Driving course or EVOC may be required.

Aufgaben

• Operate heavy trucks and equipment (vacuum/jetter, pumper, crane, etc.) in a safe manner.
• Review work orders and maintain safety and documentation for tasks performed.
• Monitor wastewater treatment plants and sewer collection systems; inspect liners, lines, and pump stations.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical controls and system equipment; perform repairs as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with WWTA and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with WWTA rules, state and federal regulations; communicate with public and contractors.
