Job summary

City of Madera is seeking a Public Works Maintenance Worker II to join the Public Works team. This role performs skilled maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of the City's sewer collection system, ensuring reliable, safe service for the community.

Under general supervision, you will operate sewer collection equipment, maintain records, and help train less experienced staff. A high school diploma and at least two years of related experience are required, with licensing as noted

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of full-time construction or maintenance experience.
• Valid California Class C driver's license; Class A or B may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on the City's sewer collection system.
• Operate specialized sewer maintenance equipment and vehicles; perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Assist with training and guidance to junior staff; complete records of work performed.
• Work under general supervision and adhere to safety regulations and City procedures.
