Job summary

City of Medford is seeking a Public Works Technician in Sewer Collection Maintenance to help maintain essential community infrastructure. You will join a skilled team responsible for maintaining, inspecting, repairing, and replacing the sewer collection system, including operating construction equipment and performing confined-space work.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of equipment operation or maintenance experience, and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED; and
• Two years of equipment operation, general construction, maintenance experience, or combination to perform duties.
• Completion of a one-year Construction Technology certificate program may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction equipment as part of sewer collection maintenance.
• Maintain sewer piping and pump stations; inspect, repair and replace components.
• Respond to sewer emergencies and perform confined-space work.
