A CDL is required, and the incumbent must work with engineers, survey crews, and field staff to assign tasks, respond to issues, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in the maintenance and repair of sanitary sewer systems, including pumping stations; at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Associate's Degree in engineering technology and one year of supervisory or administrative experience in the described work.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required for operating most Sewer Department vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assigning work to crews for maintenance and repair of sanitary sewers.
• Assist in pumping station operations and coordinating with engineers and survey crews.
• Supervise cleaning of catch basins and sewer lines and operation of pumps.
• Respond to complaints and assign crews to address issues; may supervise major projects.
• Fill in for others as needed to complete job assignments and maintain records.
