Job summary

The City of Seguin is seeking a Line Cleaning & Televising Operator to operate specialized sewer cleaning and pipe assessment equipment and to document findings in the maintenance system. You will help prevent overflows and ensure capacity by evaluating line conditions and coordinating with crews.

Responsibilities include setting up work zones for traffic control, complying with safety guidelines, and potentially working nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent with 5 years of wastewater ops experience
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, microbiology, or related field with 2.5 years of wastewater collection experience
• Substitution options: college hours or approved operator training for additional experience

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sewer cleaning and televising equipment
• Record findings in computer maintenance management system
• Set up work zones and ensure traffic safety
• Work various shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call periods
• Perform other duties as assigned
