Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC seeks a skilled field technician to operate CCTV cameras for pipeline inspections, determine cleaning needs, and identify lining candidates. The role includes jetting, cabling, installing clean-outs, and locating manholes from maps.

The candidate will perform duties across sewer maintenance, inspection, and rehabilitation tasks, with emphasis on safety and equipment operation. Shift flexibility is required due to project demands.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with water, sewer, televising, jetting, or CIPP construction.
• Knowledge of closed video camera equipment operation and high-pressure sewer cleaning equipment.
• PACP/MACP/LACP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate remote CCTV cameras to inspect interiors of pipelines and assess cleaning needs and lining candidates.
• Jetting, cabling, and installing clean-outs.
• Locate manholes from a map.
• Perform duties and special projects as assigned.
• Operate and maintain equipment used for sewer maintenance and rehabilitation tasks.
• Assist in jetting of sewer lines and manhole lifting applications.
• Set up and take down traffic control.
• Store footage and monitor surveillance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating remote cameras thatutilizeCCTV to record interiors of various pipelines for inspections todetermineif cleaning is needed (as well as what type) and if thepipe lineis a candidate for lining
• Jetting, cabling, and installing clean-outs
• Locatemanholesfrom a map
• Perform miscellaneous related duties and carry out special projects as assigned
• Operation and maintenance of all equipment
• Performs all work tasksrequiredto support execution of sewer maintenance,inspectionand/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Repair various pipelines using a specific product and process
• Performs difficult skilled work supervising andparticipatingin jetting of sewer lines andvraftingofmanholesand lift station
• Set-up/take-down traffic control in the street
• Store Footage
• Watch Surveillance

Qualifications

• At least 1-year experience with water, sewer, televising, jetting, or CIPP construction
• General knowledge of the operation of closed video camera equipment, and high pressure sewer cleaning equipment
• PACP/MACP/LACP preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of plans and specifications
• Proficient skills with lasers, line and grade
• Strong customer service and communication skills along with mechanical aptitude are required
• General knowledge of the occupational hazards of the work and of necessary safety precautions

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.

Salary Range

• $30.00 - $35.00, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
