City of Savannah is seeking a Sewer Jet‑Vac Truck Operator to operate and maintain the jet/vacuum vehicle, clean sewer pipelines, and respond to service requests. The role requires a valid CDL and at least two years of heavy equipment experience, with a strong emphasis on safety and preventive maintenance.

Eligibility includes a high school diploma or GED and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. The position offers competitive benefits and paid holidays.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED; with two (2) years of heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state commercial driver's license (Class A or B).

Mansioni

• Operates Jet‑Vacuum or Jet truck to clean sewer pipelines, manholes, and wetwells.
• Assists with the operation and maintenance of the sanitary sewer system.
• Inspects equipment before use to ensure it is in proper operating condition.
• Repairs and replaces Jet Vac hose; maintains the vacuum truck; daily cleaning and lubrication.
• Reads sewer maps and writes reports such as sewer overflow.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
