Job summary

The City of Sidney seeks an Equipment Operator I & I Information Technician to collect, review and enter data from private property and guide contractors. The role may support field crews and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, CDL-B with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain, and relevant utilities experience. Proficiency in MS Office and residency per city requirements are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• CDL Class B with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within six months
• 3+ years in Underground Utilities or related field desirable
• Proficient with computers, networks and related equipment
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Ohio EPA Class I Collection license within 18 months
• NASSCO PACP, MACP and LACP certifications within 18 months
• Residency as required by the City

Responsibilities

• Lead data collection, review and entry from private property
• Provide guidance to contractors and property owners
• Assist field crew as directed
• Respond to emergencies outside normal hours as needed
